What Is A2P 10DLC? Brand and Campaign Registration
What A2P 10DLC means
- A2P (Application-to-Person): texts sent from a business application, such as FunnelStreams, to a person.
- 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code): a standard 10-digit US phone number.
- The Campaign Registry (TCR): the central registry US carriers use to register brands and campaigns.
US carriers require every business that texts US recipients from local numbers to register. Unregistered traffic is blocked.
Do I need it?
- Yes, if you text US numbers from US local numbers.
- No, if you only text from toll-free numbers (they need toll-free verification instead) or never text US numbers.
Registration steps
- Brand registration: register your business identity (legal name, EIN, address, website).
- Campaign registration: describe your use case, sample messages and opt-in.
- Link numbers: add your local numbers to the approved campaign.
All three are done in Settings → Phone System → Trust Center.
Benefits
- Messages are delivered instead of blocked.
- Higher throughput based on your Trust Score.
- Fewer carrier filters.
Carrier fees may apply to brand and campaign registration.
