What Is CNAM?

What CNAM is

CNAM (Caller Name Presentation) links your phone number to a business name in US caller ID databases. When you call someone, their carrier may look up that name and show it instead of just your number.
CNAM display isn't guaranteed. The recipient's carrier, phone, caller ID app and other factors decide whether the name appears.

How it fits with other trust tools

| Tool | What it does | | --- | --- | | CNAM | Shows your business name | | SHAKEN/STIR | Authenticates that you can use the number | | Voice Integrity | Reduces "Spam Likely" labels | | A2P / toll-free verification | Registers texting, not calling |

Set up CNAM

  1. Go to Settings → Phone System → Trust Center.
  2. Open CNAM and select the US numbers.
  3. Enter your business name as you want it to appear (usually up to 15 characters).
  4. Submit.
Updates can take days to a few weeks to spread across carriers.
