A2P Requirements for Canadian 10DLC Numbers
Who needs registration
A2P 10DLC registration verifies who's sending business texts, what they're for and how recipients agreed.
- Canadian numbers texting US recipients must follow A2P 10DLC requirements, the same as US numbers.
- Canada-to-Canada texting depends on when the number was bought:
- Bought before March 26, 2025: can continue without A2P registration.
- Bought on or after March 26, 2025: needs A2P registration or identity verification.
How to register
- Go to Settings → Phone System → Trust Center.
- Register your brand with your legal business details.
- Register a campaign with your use case, sample messages and opt-in.
- Link your Canadian numbers to the approved campaign.
If your brand or campaign is rejected
Don't resubmit the same details. Open the required fixes, correct each item and then resubmit. See A2P Campaign Rejections, Required Fixes and Vetting Errors.
