Manage Affiliate Payouts and Commissions
Key points
- Tracking: commissions are tracked on sales processed through Stripe. Refunds on one-time products and subscriptions aren't tracked automatically, so review them before paying.
- Payout terms: choose a term that covers your refund or chargeback window.
- One-time and recurring: commissions can be one-time or recurring, depending on the product.
- Discounts: if a coupon is used, the commission is based on the discounted price.
Payout terms
A payout term sets the delay between when a commission is earned and when it's due. For example, with a 30-day refund policy, use NET-30 so commissions come due after the refund window closes.
Available terms:
- NET-7: 7 days after month end
- NET-15: 15 days after month end
- NET-30: 30 days after month end
- NET-45: 45 days after month end
- NET-60: 60 days after month end
- NET-90: 90 days after month end
Set payout terms per campaign (Campaign → Additional Settings) or for all campaigns in Global Settings.
The Payouts tab
- Pending: commissions earned but not yet due or approved. Review them here.
- Approved for Payout: ready to pay. From here you can pay with PayPal Auto Payouts, or pay another way (such as bank transfer) and mark them Paid. You can also move a payout back to Pending.
- Paid: completed payouts.
- Denied: payouts you've rejected, for example for refunded sales.
How payouts are generated
Payouts are created automatically from each campaign's commission settings and payout term, and appear in Pending first.
Commission types
- One-time commissions
- Recurring commissions on subscriptions
- Additional rules set in the campaign, such as multi-tier or pay-per-lead commissions
