Manually Attribute Sales to Affiliates
What it does
Manual sale attribution lets you credit affiliates for sales that weren't tracked through their link. Use it when:
- Offline sales: an affiliate closes a sale in person and you invoice it manually.
- Unattributed sales: an affiliate referred the customer, but the customer didn't use the link.
- Record keeping: you want every affiliate-driven sale recorded correctly.
Common examples
- Sales from conferences or events your affiliates attended
- Influencer referrals where followers bought directly
- Word-of-mouth customer referrals
- Flyers, local events or other offline promotions
- Exclusive offers redeemed without the affiliate link
How to attribute a sale
- Go to Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Affiliates.
- Find the affiliate you want to credit.
- Click the three dots on the right of their row and select Add Manual Sales.
- Enter the customer's email address.
- Select the campaign to apply.
- Review the customer's transactions.
- Select the transactions to attribute to this affiliate.
- Submit and confirm.
- Check that the sale and commission appear on the affiliate's record.
Repeat for each sale you need to attribute.
Good to know
- Manually attributed sales follow the same commission, payout term and approval process as link-tracked sales.
- The customer's email doesn't need to be linked to the affiliate beforehand.
- Each sale is attributed to one affiliate. For multiple purchases, attribute each transaction to the right affiliate separately.
